It's hard to tell you about my day without revealing too much.
Lets just say Decatur School System sucks.
I like the idea of Private school, but I always think of what my Dad would say, "If you can't make it in Public School than you can't make it in life."
Doesn't sound so profound unless you understand the "inner city" school reference.
Home schooling looks better and better. How do you home school when both parents work? I see it all the time, and if I was home all day with my "precious little darlings", you can be damn sure I'd have a night job.
I'm trying a new, relaxed approach. I'm not going to freak out. The school stuff will resolve itself if I step back and not stress the child. I'm stressing the child and the lying has started. Little @%*!. We have the best relationship too, it's those influences at school. What do you do? I had friends that weren't the best for me, but I survived. How do I keep them on the right path without too much pressure?
Isn't it my job to push? UGH... I want to be the friend and not the mean parent. I'm so old, the song "Parents Just Don't Understand", ran through my head.
OK, enough of that crap.
Christmas is coming and shopping has started. I'm trying a new approach this year. The kids "lists" have been done for months but they are adding as we go. I am going to limit the gifts this year. What does that mean? I don't know. But I always go way overboard.
Yeah, I've started decorating too.
I love Online Shopping but it takes away from the Mall Experience. I love going to the Mall and shopping all day. Getting lunch in the food court and shopping some more. Yeah.
